World Of Warcraft

World of Warcraft (WoW) is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) that has been existing in the online gaming world for more than half a decade. With a vast player population of over 10 million, WoW has been cited as one of the best MMORPG games ever. However, being at the top of the online gaming industry has its disadvantages. In the case of the World of Warcraft, network latency or WoW lag bears a very significant impact on gameplay such that WoW proxy tunneling has become an important tool of the game to decrease wow latency. WoW servers are hosted in North America, which is a strategic location for online gamers. Nonetheless, there are also millions of players from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Venezuela, Paraguay, Malaysia, Singapore,Vietnam , Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa among others. Even with broadband Internet, many gamers from these countries experience very bad WoW latency. Some gamers may experience WoW ping as high as 1000 ms . That is approximately a 1 second delay before you are able to see and react to an opponent's attack!

Overview of WoW Ping

WoW ping - or the amount of lag on the network as the client computer tries to communicate with a remote server - should ideally be below 400 ms. Constantly having a very bad WoW latency does not make for a good gaming experience. Imagine if you are in an Arena PvP (player versus player) with gamers from North America with ping of only 60 ms or lower ; your relatively high WoW latency can result in your early loss very easily. Without you even knowing it, your online character would already be dead.

The factors that contribute to WoW lag will center on the quality of the player's Internet connection. This includes the speed of your connection through your ISP (Internet Service Provider), the physical distance of the game server to the gamer's computer, bad internet routing, slow connections, network bottlenecks and too many ping routes or hops.

Overcoming WoW Lag

How then can you focus on proving your skills against another player instead of competing against WoW lag? The only way to decrease the wow latency, without migrating to the USA, is to simply use a WoW Proxy. WoW proxy or WoW tunneling is a legitimate service (check on what Blizzard has to say about proxy/tunneling) to help reduce your WoW ping dramatically. A WoW proxy enables a player to connect quickly to WoW game servers with fewer hops and avoiding slow network connections.(For a detailed explanation of how it works, check out our FAQs.)

By implementing WoW proxy tunneling you will eliminate the problem of playing a 1-sec delay in World of Warcraft. The service is proven to reduce WoW lag by as much as 50% to 70%. With a simple 3-day trial and 3-step setup, playing with a ping at 200 milliseconds or less is no longer a dream!
